Sobre A Jornada do Escritor
Escrevi este texto em Agosto mas não coloquei aqui no blog. Coloco pra depois desenvolver mais sobre o assunto.
Há alguns meses fui pra Curitiba e voltei com um tesouro em mãos, o livro “A Jornada do Escritor” de Christopher Vogler, que minha amiga Nicole Sigaud me emprestou.
Neste tesouro eu encontrei os fios e as peças que faziam encaixar muitas das minhas idéias.
E do que trata o livro? Trata de estrutura de roteiros, baseada em mitologia e na teoria do monomito que Joseph Campbell desenvole no seu livro Herói de Mil Faces, que estou lendo.
Segudo Campbell todos os mitos são um tratamento da sociedade em que nasceu da única essência do mito, do mito priordial, presente em toda a cultura humana. E no livro ele traça esse monomito e exemplifica como seus elementos se desenvolveram nos mitos pela humanidade, mitos orientais, ocidentais, cristãos, modernos, antigos, africanos, equimós, enfim, de todo o mundo.
E Campbell é fascinante em conseguir encontrar este esqueleto em todos os mitos.
“A Jornada do Escritor” me provou que o Cinema não simplesmente desenvolve novas histórias, mas faz uso do esqueleto e estrutura dos mitos, apropriando-se de arquétipos, estruturas e todos os elementos do monomito.
C. Vogler resumiu a teoria de Campbell para facilitar o trabalho de roteiristas, como foi o que eu tive mais contato e ainda não terminei de ler Herói de Mil Faces, vou passar as doze etapas da jornada do herói.
Nem todas estão presentes numa história, mas o fio condutor é sempre o mesmo, e o que torna uma história original é a maneira que ela faz esta estrutura ser vista de forma diferente.

Esta estrutura é importante numa história, além dos arquétipos. Estes elementos “conversam” com o público, é o que faz a conexão com o interior do ouvinte da história.
E se tudo que vivemos pode se tornar uma história devemos nos lembrar que esta história também terá esta estrutura básica.
